Exhibition opening at the school in Elvange

Over the past few weeks, we had five different Luxembourgish artists at our school in Elwéng. We worked there together with Script and kulturama.lu.

This exhibition also fitted in particularly well with our school project ‘working together’. It shows how much can be created when we share our ideas, pool our creativity and inspire one another – adults and children, artists and pupils.

Lisa Junius painted a wall together with the children from C1. The children first drew the animals, shapes and flowers, which were then transferred onto the wall. The children painted a blue background and their shapes. They also cut out and painted individual shapes from wood.

Dijana Engelmann, together with the children from C3, shaped forms from clay, fired and painted them, which were then assembled into sculptures. They now adorn our school garden.

The children from C2, together with Simone Lazzaretti, discovered serigraphy. They cut out various shapes from paper, which were then screen-printed in different colours onto eight panels.

Raphael Gindt is known for his street art. The children from C4 spray-painted the benches on the sports field. The theme there was sport.

The benches in the schoolyard were also spray-painted. The theme there was nature.

The teaching staff attended a training weekend with Edith Rollinger. There they learnt some great techniques.

We wish Ely and Monique a happy and well-deserved retirement.
